The make up date for the Invention Convention will be Tuesday February 26th! We’re all looking forward to a fun event highlighting the students’ hard work and creativity. Just a few reminders:
When: Tuesday, February 26-Inventors should report at 6:15 p.m. Please be prompt. Keep in mind that there will be about 150 inventions and many students and family members, so parking may take some time. Students will be directed to a color-coded section of the gym where they’ll set up their displays. The event should be done around 8:30.
Where: Britton Elementary
What to bring: Display board, journal, prototype. Inventors should have their sale’s pitch/presentation ready and be prepared to answer questions from the judges. If inventors want to dress in accordance with their invention theme, they’re welcome to do so!
Details: Each inventor or team will be interviewed be two judges. The judges will be as excited and almost as nervous as the inventors, so students should try to relax and have fun! The judges will be supportive and encouraging, and the questions they ask will help the students to express their ideas.
Highest scoring inventions will be announced at the end of the evening. Approximately 25 inventors/teams will get to advance to the Ohio Invention Convention to be held at the Ohio State Fair this summer! More details as they become available.
See you on Tuesday evening!
