Mrs. Julie Caserta’s fourth-grade classroom have been working on their Life Science Unit. The students got to choose from 1 of 5 Ohio ecosystems and conducted research on it. They put together a presentation about their findings. They then had to design and create a newly evolved biotic organism that could survive in that same ecosystem and explain how it could survive in that environment and to its potential threats
Giving students a hands-on learning activity helps them master the life science curriculum. In this case, they are able to demonstrate mastery of the standard on the Earth’s Living History.
