  2. The Weaver Girl’s soccer A team won its opening tournament match last evening versus Heritage Middle School by the score of 5-0. The Cats held possession for much of the first half but could not beat the Heritage keeper until Ellie Browning found Molly Lenko who scored the only goal of the first half. The Cats pounced on Heritage early to start the second half.  Libby Miller scored two quick goals. One of which was off a cross from Kiersten Cashell.  Cashell then added two goals of her own to put the match away.  Cady Mullins and Rachel Harney combined in goal for the shut out. The Cats have now recorded two straight shut outs and have conceded only 2 goals in their 4 match undefeated streak. They continue on in the tournament Tuesday at 4:30 when they play Academy at Worthington Christian. Come out and support your Cats
