Weaver Students
10 Common Principles

Common Principle #1
A school should teach students how to use their minds to their fullest limits.

Common Principle #2
The schools goals should be simple: Each student should be an expert on the basic skills, knowledge, and attitudes.

Common Principle #3
The schools goals and rules should fit the needs of all the students, regardless of their differing abilities and skills.

Common Principle #4
Personalized teaching should be made available so that students can experience learning to their fullest abilities.

Common Principle #5
The main idea of the school should be that students work and teachers help and encourage.

Common Principle #6
Students should be asked to show what they know by creating various projects/presentations to determine if they are ready to advance.

Common Principle #7
Everyone needs to work together and cooperate with trust and decency to meet the accepted standards of being in school, parents as well.

Common Principle #8
The principal and teachers should look at the "big picture" first, before looking into the specific subject they teach.

Common Principle #9
Teachers need time to plan together to meet the different needs of students. Classes need to be smaller to give individual students more attention, without being overly expensive.

Common Principle #10
The rules practices, and the ways of teaching in school should be fair and equal for everyone. Schools should focus on challenging all forms of unfairness.
