Community Use of School Facilities
The Board believes in the fullest and best use of the physical facilities belonging to the citizens
of the District. Use of facilities by both school and student-connected activities, as well as by community organizations and groups, is encouraged. The use of school facilities for educational and recreational
purposes, public meetings, entertainments and political meetings by outside agencies is permitted.
NOTE: The use of buildings and facilities to fulfill the educational objectives of the school shall have
preference over all other requests.
Application Procedure
To rent or use a District facility, an interested party must obtain an application from the building
principal, the person in charge of the desired facility or from a district/building website. The application must be completed, signed by the person representing the organization and submitted to the school official concerned at least two weeks prior to the date of the desired usage.
