Hilliard Davidson yearbook to set national standard
(Hilliard City Schools, Hilliard, Ohio) –The 2007 Hilliard Davidson High School yearbook will be used as a sample in schools nationwide as a result of the team that put together the 2006 yearbook.
The 2006 Memories Yearbook earned first-place points in the American Scholastic Press Association, which marks a 12-year tradition of first-place recognition.
A photo of the marquee at the Ohio Theater will illustrate this year’s theme, “A Blockbuster Year.” Co-editors Stephanie Antill, Kait Warman, Connie Wang, Cory Winland, Steve Ewing and Patrick Baker are leading the 27-member staff in preparing the 328-page yearbook for publication.
Five co-editors of the 2006 yearbook -- Emily Nash, Wendy Cai, Emily Sinay, Felicia Ciamocco and Liz Meyer -- led the 30-member staff in the design and writing of “Our World of Blue and White.”
Taylor Publishing has committed to using the 2007 Memories Yearbook as a national sample when it is published next fall. Of the more than 100,000 yearbooks published by Taylor, less than 2 percent are selected as national samples.
Samples are used by Taylor yearbook representatives and advisers as excellent journalism examples in workshops nationwide.
