About TharpHilliard Tharp Sixth Grade School will provide a diverse and supportive learning environment for all sixth grade students that will enhance their transition from intermediate to middle grades. Our school is named for Mrs. Grace Tharp, who was the first woman elected to the Hilliard Schools' Board of Education, and has devoted many years of service to our school community. Hilliard Tharp is a proud member of the Coalition of Essential Schools.
