Friends and Families of Hilliard Station,

Being part of the Hilliard Station family brings me happiness and pride.  The atmosphere at Station is charged with success and high expectation!

Our sincere hope is that this website will present our students, parents, and the community with positive insight about the academic excellence of “OUR” school.

Hilliard Station once again was rated as EXCELLENT WITH DISTINCTION, by the Ohio Department of Education during the 2010-2011 school year.

We at Station feel honored to have been rated as the third highest achieving school building in the State of Ohio for grades 4-9.  This information was based on a study completed by Capital University’s College of Education that examined every school in Ohio.  Through continued perseverance and teamwork, we will maintain our outstanding academic record.

Hilliard Station offers many outstanding clubs, organizations, and extracurricular activities.  Our school pride is a direct result of our total community involvement.  We welcome you to come and be a part of our tradition of excellence.

Hilliard Station’s focus for the 2011-2012 academic year is student achievement and accountability.  In order to provide clarity to our focus, your cooperation and collaboration with Station’s staff is vital.  Meeting the challenges that lie ahead will require our students to be actively engaged and accountable for their learning.

In order to increase student achievement, your involvement is necessary in the following areas:

  • Encourage your student to read many books, magazines, and newspaper articles throughout the academic year;
  • Volunteer during or after school;
  • Support school attendance policies;
  • Engage in teacher-parent-student conferences;
  • Consistently monitor student work and achievement;
  • Expect high achievement from your child;
  • Communicate with staff and administration: and
  • Require your student to complete assignments everyday.

Hilliard Station’s faculty and staff welcome your involvement in the educational progress of your student.  We must work as a team to ensure that all students become outstanding scholars and productive citizens.

Yours in Education,

Bruce P. Stephanic
