MLA Format Tips and Reminders for the Works Cited Page
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help!
- If you can’t find some of the information you need to cite a website, look at the site’s homepage, or page about the author or the organization. If you still can’t find it, skip that part of the citation and move on to the next piece of information.
- Look at the title page (not the cover) when you are citing a book.
- Did you indent the appropriate lines of each citation?
- Did you use correct punctuation?
- Did you capitalize appropriate words?
- Did you alphabetize your citations according to the first word of each citation?
- Did you title the page? (Works Cited if you many sources, Work Cited if you used one source)
