Hey “Class of 2022!” Can you believe it??  Next week Registration for your 9th grade year at Darby begins!

Your new counselor will meet you January 19th and then online scheduling will begin Jan. 22 through Jan 31st!  You and your parents are invited to a Parent Information Night Jan. 22nd at DARBY at 7 p.m. in the PAC.

The Heritage Cheer Team will be competing in their first competition of the season this Sunday, Jan. 7th at DARBY! The team is expected to compete at 11:15 am. Come out and cheer on the panthers!

Oratorical Society:  Hey Heritage Students!! Any student who has interest in being involved with Oratorical Society, a local public speaking competition, should see Mr. Byerly in room 227C . This is the office directly next to The Panther Center in room 209.  We will meet after school on Tuesday, January 9th after school.  Please make sure you make contact with Mr. Byerly sometime next week to get forms for the competition if you can’t come on Tuesday.

Math Counts will have practice BOTH Friday Jan. 5th and Monday Jan. 8th in room 215 until 4:30.  See you then Panthers!

Sports News:
The 8th grade girls beat Dublin Davis last night 27-19.

Last night the 7th grade girl’s basketball team defeated Dublin Davis 38-4 improving their record to 8-1.  Eight different Panthers led a balanced scoring attack.  The Panthers return to action tomorrow in a rivalry game with Weaver that will played at Darby HS starting at 10:00am!

The 7th grade boys basketball team won last night over Dublin  Davis 9-0. Leading the offense was Cam Gilkerson with 20 points and Javi Quimba 16 points. The team was lead on the boards by Ben Marsh with 5 rebounds and led in defense by Ben Krumpe. Their next game is Tuesday 5:00 at home vs Dublin Grizzle.

The Heritage Boys Flex team lost a close game to Berne Union last night 44-40.  The Panthers played hard, but were not able to hang onto a 10 halftime lead.  The team was led in scoring by Nate Burdick with 11 points, Ryan Hance added 7, Kyle Brinkman 6 and Vamsee Cheruvu 5.  9 of the 12 Panthers players contributed at least 2 points in the game.

The Panthers are in action on Tuesday against Marysville.
