Artist John Sabraw Visits HMS!
|On October 4th HMS hosted environmental activist and eco artist John Sabraw in partnership with the Wexner Center and HEF. It was an inspirational day on so many levels! Sabraw turns toxic river sludge from coalmine polluted streams into the most beautiful range of iron oxide pigments. Students learned the chemistry behind this process in a hands-on demonstration before making their own artworks using Sabraw’s techniques. The connections between art and science, the environment and our actions, enabled students to see that they too can be part of the change to help our planet…and make great artwork too!|
