Good Morning, Hilliard Davidson!  Today is Wednesday, May 24, 2017, and these are your morning announcements.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Ramirez Fundraiser: There will be a fundraiser for the family of freshman Leanna Ramirez (to help deal with Leanna’s health issues) at Pulp Juice & Smoothie Bar today Wednesday, May 24. Stop in and make a purchase at the Mill Run location between 7 am and 9 pm, and you can help Leanna while you enjoy a fruit Smoothie.

Summer Physics Work: Students taking AP or KAP Physics next year have a summer assignment. You can find copies of the summer assignment next to the door of room 222. If you have any questions, talk to or email Mr. Herring, rusty_herring@hboe.org.

iPad Return: We will collect student iPads and cases from freshmen, sophomores, and juniors on May 24 and 25, during World Studies, English 10, and English 11 classes. Students will keep chargers and cords over the summer.

Textbook Return: Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors: Please return any textbook that you have checked out BEFORE you return your iPads on Wednesday and Thursday to avoid additional wait times. Thank you!

GUIDANCE INFORMATION:

Summer Volunteer Opportunity:  Son Ministries is looking for teen volunteers to work at the Hilliard Free Lunch Summer Camp for Kids. These unpaid internships allow high school students to earn 50+ hours of service, while being positive role models, playing with and building relationships with the local children that we serve at this camp. Students can pick up information in the Guidance Office, or contact Son Ministries at 614-586-7939; and www.son-ministries.org

SPORTS:

Softball 2017-18: If you are interested in playing softball next season, you must stop by room 209 for a summer calendar. There will also be a brief, mandatory meeting after school on Thursday, May 25, in Room 209 for those interested in playing next softball season.

Girls Track: Congratulations to the Girls Track team for finishing third in the District. The following athletes will move on to Regionals on Wednesday and Friday at Pickerington North. Kazmerzak, Ryan, Baumgartner and Schonhardt—fourth in the 4×2; Hoefler—fourth in the 400; Johnson—first in the16/32; Lewis—third in the 32! Congrats to India Johnson on breaking the school record in the 1600 (4:52).

Congratulations to Emilee Fecht—fourth in Shot, and Sarah Teater—second in PV, who moved on to the Regional Track meet as well.

Football: Any student who is interested in participating in the football program next year, who is not presently in program, should talk to one of the football coaches ASAP—Coach White, Coach Rolfes, Coach Beatty, Coach Kattenhorn, or Coach Scally.
