Good Morning, Hilliard Davidson! Today is Tuesday, May 15, 2018, and these are your morning announcements.

Spanish Club: Today is the day for the last Spanish Club fiesta of the year! Come eat tacos, take a swing at the piñata, and dance a mad fandango! It’s all happening after school in room 212.


Gift Card Collection:  Taylor Naille and Ms. Cooper are organizing a gift card collection to help the family of Claudia Proctor. All this week, we will be collecting gift cards for different restaurants and grocery stores to give to the family. If you want to help, please bring any gift card donations you have to Ms. Cooper’s classroom, room 207.

Graduation Parking:  Seniors, if you need extra parking passes for your family and friends to attend graduation, you can buy additional passes in the main office, at a discounted rate of $3 each.

Math Opt-Out:  Students who did not attend the Math Opt-Out meeting last week need to go to the Guidance Office to pick up an opt-out form today! Your graduation may depend on it.

Spring Break 2019: Are you still thinking about joining us on Spring Break 2019 trip to the Galapagos Islands? If so, please see Mrs. Lucas or Miss Cooper as soon as possible about an opportunity to win $250 toward the cost of the trip!

First Generation College Event: Our College Counselor, Mr. Woodford, is hosting a First Generation College Student event. This is a program for any current junior who will be the first person in his or her family to attend college. On Wednesday, June 6, from 9-11 am, at Darby High School, he will have representatives from area colleges who will discuss their programs for First Generation students.  If you are interested, please see Mr. Woodford in the Guidance Office.


Girls Track: Congratulations to the Girls Track Team on their great team effort that won the OCC Central Division Championship! The following girls were Top 3 to be all OCC. Congratulations to Baumgartner, Conrad, Ryan, Bennett, Hoefler, Lewis, Stull, Tighe, Petersen, Kazmerzak, Markarian, Manken, Sculli, Shevelow, Fecht, and Tekancic. The girls will be in action again this Wednesday and Thursday at Darby for the District 3 track meet.

Boys Track: The boys track team won the league title on Saturday. First place finishers were: Max LeClair, Andrew Taylor, Christian Gillilan, Andrew Tighe in two events, and Josh Burton won three events. All-Conference performers were: Isaac Bailey, Collin Danyi, Cole Kazmerzac, RJ Gonzalez, James keen and Josiah Ezerim. Also scoring were: Jacob Bauer, Sho Weinstein, Nick Sauvey, Mitchell Montgomery, Cal Ryan, Sam Backenstoe and gage keys. This was a great team effort.

Girls Track: Girls who are finished with track season need to turn in their uniforms. If you fail to do this, you will receive a fine letter. Please turn in your uniforms to Coach Beatty in Room 204.
