Art Club: Water you doing on Wednesday this week? Come to Art Club where we will experiment with water color! Join us on Wednesday, March 14, after school in room 161. Snacks and fun will be provided. We welcome new members! If you have questions, contact an art club officer.
Chemistry Club: Chemistry Club is meeting this week to celebrate spring! We will meet on Thursday after school in room 216. Everyone is welcome! Questions? See Mrs. Bloom
Choir Awards: Congratulations to the Davidson Concert Choir and the Senior Choir for receiving Superior ratings at the OMEA Large Group Choral Adjudicated Event last Friday! The choirs also helped with hosting this event, and you all did an excellent job!
Key Club Awards: Congratulations to our Davidson Key Club and their board for winning a total of ten trophies and awards this past weekend at the Ohio District Leadership Conference. Jenna Gilbreath and Jake Keefner won a second place trophy for best video, Jordan Hall and Mathew Kinnear took a second place trophy for best talent, and Justin and Jared Holderby earned a first place trophy for best poster. Congratulations also go to Jordan Hall, Saeema Syed, Jenna Gilbreath, and Justin Wingenfield for winning individual awards as president, lieutenant governor, member, and senior. Great work, Key Clubbers!
Prom Makeover: You could win a free makeover and a prom outfit from JC Penney. Penney’s is offering one male and one female makeover and outfit to the two people who write the best paragraphs on why they should win the makeover. The winners will also receive free prom tickets. To enter the contest, write your paragraph and post it on the contest Google form. The link to the form is in your senior class Canvas. March 28 is the contest deadline.
Board Game Intramurals: Come and play some fun board games at the next meeting of Board Game Intramurals. We will meet on Monday, March 26, after school until 5:30 pm in room 228. Sign-up in the attendance office if this is your first time. Any questions… see Mr. George or Mr. Kuch.
Tie-Dye Friday: Chemistry students, wear your new tie-dye items to school on Friday. It will be groovy!
Band Awards: All four concert bands here at Davidson attended the OMEA Large Group contest this past weekend and each of the four bands received the top honor of a Superior rating for their performance. Every member of the band program represented our school tremendously well, so congratulations to all!
Student Council Applications: If you have ever thought about joining student government, this is the time to take action. Fill out an application today! For more information, pick up a handout in the main office. The application deadline is Friday, March 16.
Freshman Focus Leaders: Are you interested in being a Freshman Focus leader next year? If so, then pick up an application in the main office, and return the completed form by Thursday, March 29. Please see Miss Cooper or Mr. Assenheimer with any questions.
Senior Class Fundraiser: Come out to support the Davidson Senior Class at PULP Juice and Smoothie Bar in Mill Run. Ten percent of all sales will go to Hilliard Davidson’s senior class all day on Wednesday, March 14. So treat yourself and visit PULP Smoothie next Wednesday.
Capstone Survey Help: Davidson senior Maya Fisher is taking a survey about AP and Honors courses for her Capstone project and she needs more information. While she has heard from juniors and seniors, she also wants to know what freshmen and sophomores think about their Honors and AP courses. If you are interested in filling out one of her surveys, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and she will send you the survey.
Wrestling: Congratulations to Davidson wrestlers Micah Dusseau and Gio DiSabato on their great performances this weekend. Micah placed eighth and Gio placed sixth at the state wrestling meet – Great job to both!
Hilliard Hockey: The Hilliard Hockey Varsity team ended their season in second place in the CBJ Cup and then went on to States, finishing the weekend with a record of 1-2. For the season, varsity’s record was 28-18-4. Thanks to all the players for a great season and good luck to our Seniors!
