Tutoring is a great resource for all students, whether they want to study for a test or work ahead on an upcoming topic. Tutor.com offers a 24/7 tutoring service for students of all ages. Students can meet with a tutor or upload essays for review at any time. Best of all, this service is free for military families! Signing up is quick and easy at: military.tutor.com.


ASVAB

Whether you’re planning on college, a technical school, the military, or you’re just not sure yet, the ASVAB Career Exploration Program can put you on the right path toward a satisfying career. Understanding your skills and interests will help you make the best decisions about your future. Regardless of your plans after high school, the ASVAB CEP helps you make a plan to achieve your goals. It’s free! The ASVAB will be offered on Monday, November 22nd at 7:30. Stop in the Guidance Office to sign up or see Mrs. Mongolier with any questions.

Register for the Selective Service!!

All 18-year-old men must register for the Selective Service within 30 days of their birthday. It is the law, plus you cannot qualify for federal student loans or grants for college, job training benefits, and many state and federal jobs. Go to www.sss.gov to register!


Exploring Post

The Exploring Post Program offers career mentoring workshops for high school men and women between the ages of 14 – 20. Students who participate in this program will receive exciting hands-on experiences related to careers in art, aviation, broadcasting, engineering, fire and law enforcement, medicine, vet medicine, and other career fields. This program also can be used in conjunction with the Hilliard Mentorship program. Looks good on college applications and resumes.

Last spring a survey was conducted by the Exploring Program through the Simon Kenton Council to provide a summary of what careers are students were interested in pursuing after graduation.  This is a free service that is supported by local businesses in the Columbus area. The top 15 careers at Davidson High School are:
