Hilliard is a suburban, residential community located northwest of Columbus, Ohio. The community is one of the fastest growing districts in Ohio encompassing approximately sixty square miles with the majority of the school district’s 87,000 residents being business, professional and blue-collar workers. As a result, a large percentage of the 16,000 students are college bound.
Hilliard Darby High School is a four-year comprehensive public school of 1594 students. School is in session 176 days a year. The academic year is divided into two semesters with four nine-week grading periods. Class periods are forty-eight minutes in length.
Hilliard Darby High School has 111 certificated professional staff. Of the certificated staff, 80 have earned advanced degrees.
Hilliard Darby is a comprehensive high school that includes college preparatory, honors, Advanced Placement, dual enrollment, occupational, vocational and adjustment programs. Accumulation of a minimum 18 points on the 7 state A.I.R. tests, OR remediation free score on either the ACT /SAT, OR a minimum of 12 points by receiving a State Board- approved industry- recognized credential, as well as twenty-one and one-half credits, are required for graduation. Those credits must include:

Advanced Placement and Honors
Advanced Placement courses are offered in Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Computer Science, English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, European History, French, German, Physics, Psychology, Spanish, Statistics, U.S. Government & Politics, and U.S. History. Honors courses are offered in Algebra 2, American Literature, Biology, Chamber Orchestra, Chemistry, Choir 400, English 9 and 10, Pre-Calculus, Science 9, Wind Ensemble, and World Studies.

College Credit Plus
The state sponsored dual enrollment option is available to all students who meet the requirements of respective post secondary institutions.

Class rank is determined by the G.P.A. The student with the highest G.P.A. is ranked first, second high-est is ranked second, etc. Senior ranking will be calculated using 7 semesters.
