Wednesday's Announcements

  • Reminder that gymnastics conditioning is tonight from 4:15-5:30 in the Davidson wrestling room.~ Bring your tennis shoes!
  • Anyone with a subscription to the Wildcat who has not picked up their copy must report to Rm. 244 to pick it up from Mr. Owens.
  • Attention all students interested in Swim Team. There will be an organizational meeting after school October 15th in the commons. Key information for the up coming season will be discussed, please plan to attend.
  • There will be an interact meeting this Friday Oct. 10th in room 111 at 3pm.  We will be discussing our fall fundraiser.
  • Renaissance Ambassadors.  There is a MANDATORY meeting this Thursday Oct 9th at 3:00pm in Room 202.  You MUST have your project ideas.  If you can not attend see Miss Flanagan 8th period in room 202.  Thanks, see you Thursday!
  • The Variety Show Performer list has been posted outside of room 214 and on the main office window. Thank you to all who auditioned and congratulations to those selected to perform.
  • Jostens will be here to take orders and deposits for class rings on Tuesday, October 14, during lunch periods.  Bring your order form and a $50 deposit.  Extra packets are available in the Main Office.
  • Jostens will return to take Senior orders and deposits for Cap and Gowns and Senior Announcements on Tuesday, October 21 during lunch periods.  Remember to bring your order and deposit.  If you are also ordering a class ring at that time, just complete the Class Ring order form and turn it in with your Graduation order.  No additional deposit will be required.  Additional order packets are available in the main office.
  • Any girls interested in playing softball this spring-not in a fall sport-please attend an informational meeting this Friday after school in Modular D-2.
  • All girls who are interested in running track and are not involved in a winter sport should attend a mandatory meeting on today in rm 247 immediately after school.
  • Key Club:  Our meeting will be next Tuesday, October 14th after school. You must have your registration and dues turned in by the October 14th meeting! If you're unsure if you're registered, check our bulletin board outside Mrs. Moss's room. Also posted are those who signed up to volunteer at the Homestead Harvest this weekend.
  • If you're interested in earning Key Club hours or would like to volunteer, we have an urgent need for help at Memorial TODAY after school, on October 8th. We will be doing various activities promoting Issue 78.
  • Anyone interested in Book Club - we will have a meeting this Friday from 3 to 3:30 in room 70 to kick off this year's club.  Questions, contact Mrs. Vance.
  • CAM 2 Thespians:  Audition packets for the 2009 All-Ohio production of ALL SHOOK UP are available from Mr. Crawford, Mrs. Vance, or the Call Board outside room 57.  Deadline to mail in the complete packet is Nov. 5.  Don't miss out on this unique opportunity.
  • Congratulations to last year's cast and crew of last year's spring musical GUYS AND DOLLS.  This production was chosen as the state winner for 2008 in USA Weekend Best High School Musical Contest.  Check out the website <besthighschoolmusical.blogspot.com> and scroll down to Ohio to check it out.  Winners were just announced this past weekend.
  • Poets and writers:  As part of the theatre programs ARTS FOR ALL initiative this year, we are soliciting original poetry reading for SLAM JAM on Sat., Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Experimental Theatre - room 70.  We are looking for students who are interested in sharing their original poetry or other writings aloud in a coffee house type of atmosphere.  Sign-ups are on the bulletin board outside room 70.  Admission to the event is FREE and coffee and snacks will be available for purchase.  Acoustical music will also be provided.  Questions, see Mr. Crawford or Mrs. Vance.
  • Interested in learning about creative writing in a relaxed and fun atmosphere? Then the Creative Writing Club is for you. The inaugural meeting of the Creative Writing Club will be tomorrow after school in Room 249. If you are interested please stop by.
