Real Life Experiences Experiences provided by mentors in various work settings help students apply the skills they have learned in school, and equip them with new skills necessary to be successful in the workplace. Authentic work experiences provide the realities of the career field for students, helping them have a clear view of all aspects of a career. These experiences help the student in better identifying post-secondary goals and selecting a college major. In addition, the experience provided by a workplace mentor is invaluable in teaching workplace attitudes, behavior, and expectations needed for a productive workplace. |
