Expanding Knowledge Knowledge gained in various high school courses is applied in the workplace through authentic learning experiences. Students are given the opportunity to recognize how what they are learning in the classroom, is utilized in a career area. Examples could include applications of math concepts utilized in engineering or accounting; or science principles applied to medicine; principles of design used in graphics. In addition, students gain additional knowledge from mentors and work site situations, to further enhance their high school experience. The partnership between the high school and business, provide a firm foundation of knowledge for preparing students to be successful contributors in the workplace. |
