Shawn Morris, Scott Nickel, Erika Little

Scott Nickel, Head Coach

Scott Nickel begins his 17th season coaching for Darby’s boy’s tennis team.   As a social studies teacher at Darby, Coach Nickel is an alumni of The Ohio State University having majored in political science, minored in economics, and having earned a master’s degree in education.  Coach Nickel was a former walk-on for The Ohio State University’s men’s tennis team and was a member of the Upper Arlington 1989 state champion team as well as a two-time  doubles state qualifier.  Coach Nickel is married to Lori Nickel and their children are Sydney, Cooper, and Tucker.

Shawn Morris, Asst. Coach

Coach Morris is entering his 15th year as an assistant with the boys’ tennis team.  He has previously served as the girls tennis head coach.  Coach Morris graduated from Alliance High School, Bowling Green State University and earned a Master of Education degree from Ashland University.  He teaches Human Anatomy and Physiology, Astronomy, and Geology.  Coach Morris resides in Hilliard with his wife Amanda and their twin girls, Madison and Kylie.

Erika Little, Asst. Coach

This will be Coach Little’s 10th year coaching Darby boys’ JV tennis.  She has also coached Darby girls’ tennis for the past eight seasons.  She coached Darby freshmen girls’ basketball for three years (2006-2009).  Coach Little also coached track and field at Lakewood Middle School in 2006.
