Dear Community:

As you probably know by now, unofficial results indicate our operating levy passed.

This victory will allow us to continue to deliver excellent educational opportunities to our students and provide the adequate support and resources to help them be successful.  It protects our children’s future as well as this community’s future prosperity and quality of life.  I couldn’t be more pleased for both our students and our residents.

I want to extend my gratitude to the voters for your support and for placing your confidence in this school system.  A key component of the levy campaign was academic and fiscal accountability.  We look forward to partnering with the community to ensure accountable education continues to be a major priority for this district.  We pledge to protect your investment and use every dollar wisely to provide the children of this school district with the best possible education.

I also must thank Bobbi Mueller, our campaign chair for Issue 78, and the entire campaign committee and volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure our voters were informed and educated on the issue.  This victory would not have been possible without this commitment, determination and hours of hard work.

Finally, thank you to our students and all our staff members who also gave their personal time and concerted effort to help educate voters and promote the needs of the district.

Our school community certainly came together in a huge effort to pass this levy, and that perseverance has paid off.  The residents of the Hilliard City School District have always valued quality education, and today, they continue to uphold that tradition.

Congratulations to our volunteers, to our community, and most importantly, to our more than 15,000 students!
